Results

Every year, HESA releases official statistics from each annual Graduate Outcomes survey.

These statistics are used by the Government, charities, journalists, researchers and others to understand the higher education sector and the state of the graduate labour market. Your university / college will also use them to evaluate and promote their courses.

HESA published the latest Graduate Outcomes survey results on 17 July 2025. Here's a selection of national level accredited official statistics from the survey of graduates from the class of 2022/23:

917,610 graduates surveyed between 1 December 2023 and 30 November 2024
358,045 responses received - thank you!
88% of graduates were in some form of work or further study
59% were in full-time employment, 5% were in full-time further study and 6% were unemployed
85% of UK graduates agreed that their current activity is meaningful
77% of UK graduates felt their current activity fitted with their future plans
69% of UK graduates agreed they were using what they learnt while studying
£37,924 UK graduates who studied medicine and dentistry had the highest median salary
£28,500 Median salary of full-time first degree courses in UK full-time paid employment
